Screening of TV formats at the conference Format Show, which took place on September 14 within the framework of Kyiv Media Week, was started by Nicola Söderlund, President of Swedish distribution network Sparks Network.

Kyiv Media Week started with Digital broadcasting in Ukraine Forum. The country’s main 'digitalizer' was not present.

Today, on September 13, in Kyiv’s Radisson hotel in course of Kyiv Media Week Digital broadcasting in Ukraine forum was held. The results of the August tender held by the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council of Ukraine for DTT licenses to be given to TV channels for their signal transmission in the terrestrial digital TV network that is being built now by Zeonbud company were the main topic of discussion at the Forum.

In the last year and a half more than 50 foreign TV formats have been adapted in Ukraine, and the same number had been adapted in all the previous decade. But in the archive of each big TV channel there are some absolutely original TV programs – potential Ukrainian formats: could they be adapted in other countries? This question will be discussed on September 14 at the conference Format-Show in a course of the panel discussion “TV formats: To acquire? To produce? To Sell? First international audiovisual content market in Ukraine Ukrainian Content Market, that will open this coming Wednesday, September 14, in Kyiv within the framework of the KYIV MEDIA WEEK forum, will be attended by the representatives of all the biggest content buyers in CIS – top TV channels from Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Belarus.

On September 14 at the Format- Show there will be held a special panel discussion dedicated to the series genre. The participants of this panel discussion are high-caliber professionals who are justly considered to be the best in the sphere of series production in our region’s market.
