On the first two days of KYIV MEDIA WEEK 2018 – September 17 and 18 – a line-up of screenings will take place, which will comprise the freshest and original content of various kinds and genres from the world's leading prodcos and distributors. Dozens of premieres of TV shows and series, already aired and to be released in the upcoming TV season, are waiting for the media forum participants.
The first thematic block of screenings in the KMW program is called ‘New and trendy shows from around the world’. Divided into two parts, it will be held on September 17 and 18 and will begin at the same time – at 14:00.
These screenings will present a variety of non-scripted content – fresh shows in the genres of game, quiz, dating, travel, survival, reality, etc. Many of them are developed according to the most relevant trends that go beyond traditional television: for example, cross-platform adaptation, augmented reality, new monetization models, etc.
The screening sessions will traditionally include the premieres of the autumn season and the catalogues' headliners of all3media international, Banijay Rights, ITV Studios Global Entertainment, BBC Worldwide, Red Arrow Studios International, FremantleMedia, Endemol Shine Group, Armoza Formats, Dori Media, Eccho Rights, Small World IFT, Global Agency, Fuji Creative Corporation, CBS Studios and many others.
The second big thematic block is ‘Drama screening from around the world’, which starts on September 18 at 16:20. Here the freshest and most iconic series of different genres from around the world will be presented. Drama screening is part of a range of KMW events dedicated to the series production and organized with the support of Ukraine TV Channel, one of the leading creators of scripted content in Ukraine.
The third thematic part of the KMW 2018 screening program will be dedicated to the Asian region and will include two events: ‘Chinese content showcase’ (September 17, 12:00), organized with the support of the Ukrainian Motion Picture Association, and ‘Korean content showcase’ (September 18, 11:00), backed by KOCCA (Korea Creative Content Agency). More details about them to be announced soon.
In previous years, screenings were a part of the traditional Format Show conference. Now – in a new KYIV MEDIA WEEK format – screenings are divided into thematic parts and are separate events of the program. At the same time, this change in format did not affect the content: like before, the screenings of shows and series will provide the complete picture of the most significant global trends in content production, distribution and consumption. The freshest and the most interesting content from around the world – all in there at KMW 2018!
The 8th edition of KYIV MEDIA WEEK will be held on September 17-21, 2018 at Hyatt Regency Kyiv (5 Alla Tarasova St., Kyiv, Ukraine). Registration at early bird prices is available until July 31.
