On September 23 at 11:00 the international media forum KYIV MEDIA WEEK 2016 will host a panel discussion on the results of the first year of #KіnoKraina – an initiative created by Ukrainian producers of film and television. There will also be screenings of new films and TV shows made by the group, which are scheduled to be released in the autumn-winter season. The round table will take place at the FILM.UA studio (Zakrevskiy Str. 22.), starting at 11:00.
During the event, the participants will learn about the current status of the bill №3081-d “On State Support of Cinema in Ukraine”. Between the first and the second readings of the bill, the profile committee of the Parliament considered approximately 600 amendments to its draft, which confirms the importance of this document for the industry and the entire country.
The special guest of the event is Rolandas Kvietkauskas, director of the Lithuanian Film Center, who will talk about state support for the film industry in Lithuania and the real effect of the introduction of the cash rebate system directly on film and TV production and on the economy as a whole.

Among other things, the panel will discuss the prospects for signing agreements on co-production between Ukraine and strategically important partners, especially Canada and China.
The second part of the event will include presentations of new TV series and other scripted projects by the participants of the #KіnoKraina initiative: StarLightMedia, FILM.UA Group, Inter Media Group, media group “Ukraine”, StarMedia, ProTV, Studio “Kvartal 95” and “Odessa Film Studio”.
The following projects will be presented:
SlarLightMedia holding will present TV series “Patsyki”, “Bad Good Cop” (presenter – director Maks Litvinov), short film “Grain” (director Ksenia Bugrimova). Studio “Kvartal 95” and its representative Sergei Shefir will present the project of their new feature “Servant of the People 2”. Producers at FILM.UA Group Viktor Mirskiy and Olesia Lukianenko will present the projects “Papa Dan”, “The Other Life”, “Contact”, “Line of Light” and “The Sniffer 3”. Star Media will present “Eastern Sweets” (producer Aleksei Terentiev), “Sectrets and Lies” (producer Yuriy Minzianov), “The Bandits of Bremen” (Aleksandra Kasperska). Mediagroup “Ukraine” will screen their animated sketch-com “Syshish Show”, presented by Andrei Burym (executive producer and main character) and Ivan Bukreev (director of UFO TV).
The press and relevant government authorities, market players, interested non-governmental organizations and activists are invited to take part in this event.
The event will take place on September 23 from 11:00 to 15:00 at the FILM.UA studio (Zakrevskiy Str. 22, Kyiv, Ukraine).
