Seminar on Cinema Marketing by KMW Organizers during OIFF

Odessa International Film Festival (OIFF) is the brightest and the most visited annual film event in Ukraine. The V edition of the festival took place in seaside city Odessa (Ukraine) on July 11-19 and has gathered movie industry professionals and simply film lovers from all over the world. Information support for the Summer Film Market at OIFF is traditionally provided by KYIV MEDIA WEEK (KMW) .

It is worth mentioning that KMW organizer - Media Resources Management (MRM), being very proactive in Ukrainian media industry development,  annually holds a range of media-related educational programmes, seminars and workshops. That way MRM has organized Cinema Marketing Seminar targeting local movie theatres’ managers, that was held on July 17th at Film Market in the course of OIFF. Seminar speaker - Maria Magdalena Gierat – is the Head of Kino Pod Baranami, one of the Europa Cinemas network’s cinema theatres, located in the heart of Krakow (Poland). Maria Magdalena is  highly experienced movie marketing professional who has been giving worldwide lectures for over than ten years. In 2014 Maria Magdalena has presented film management course of lectures at Sundance Film Festival.

Seminar programme included such topics as: special film premiers planning; Europa Cinemas network case studies; advertising campaign’s communication channels; accurate advertising campaign results’ evaluation; development strategy of the cinema as an entertaining centre; additional income sources of the cimena.    

The next big event in Ukraine dedicated to movie industry - the VII International Conference Film Business: Challenges, Features, Opportunities will be held on September 17, in the course of KMW’14. International film business experts as well as key Ukrainian, Russian and European moviemakers will attend the conference to share their experience and secrets of successful projects’ creation with forum participants.
