Donatas SIMUKAUSKAS

Donatas Simukauskas is Lithuanian actor and producer, alumnus of Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre.

He took part in such projects as Die Flucht (TV, 2007), War and Peace (TV mini-series, 2007), Clouds over the hills (TV-series, 2009 – 2011), Anna Karenina (TV mini-series, 2013) and other. Donatas is the co-owner of the biggest talent  agency of Lithuania "Actors Agency Lithuania". The first Simukauskas' produced film was Redirected in 2014, directed by Emilis Welyvis. The movie represents a result of co-production of producers from Lithuania and Great Britain and integrates several genres such as thriller, action, comedy and criminal.

Redirected became the highest-grossing film in Lithuania in 2014. More than 340 000 tickets were sold that means that about 12% of the total population of the country watched the film in movie theatres. In 2015 Redirected was nominated for UK’s National Film Academy Award in the category Best Drama. Worth mentioning that the nominees and the winners are determined by movie fans' voting. Redirected has been screened in different formats in over 50 countries.
