Born in Moscow, Russia, Anna Katchko went to High school in Germany Dusseldorf and then graduated with a Master degree from the Faculty of TV and Film at the Sorbonne University in Paris. She completed a film producer's course at the New York Film Academy in New York, completed the European film producer’s workshop European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs (EAVE) in 2008.
Anna is one of the founders of MIFF Business Square, Russia’s national coordinator for EAVE and has also run a program Baltic Bridge East by West (B’EST) in Russia in 2010-2012 - training workshop for the Russian and CIS film producers, supported by Media Mundus Program in Europe. From January 2014 Anna is on the selection committee for the Film Festival KINO. From Russia and beyond, the yearly film event in Geneva and Paris to showcase the films from CIS, Baltics and Georgia.
Since 2009 Anna Katchko is actively working in Kazakhstan as a film producer and consultant. She is the founder of Spotlight: New Kazakh Cinema, aninternational networking event in the frame of Eurasia International Film Festival in Almaty.
