SIMONE BAUMANN

Born 1963 and raised in Zschopau, Germany. 1982- 1987 - studied philosophy in Rostov/Don at State University (Russia). 1987-1991 - lecturer at Humboldt University, Berlin, philosophy dep. 1991-1992 - researcher at Hegel Institute, Berlin, dep. for Russian Hegel reception. 
1992-1995 - assistant domestic politics department, MDR TV channel, Dresden. 1995-1996 - producer Focus TV (Pro7 network), Munich, co-developer of Anna Doubek – Das Magazin (for TM 3 network). 
As of 1997 - Managing director and partner of L.E.Vision. Executive Producer for all films produced in the company. 1999 - Producer of the company’s first feature-length fiction project Over the Rainbow.
Since 2000 - Manager of LE Visions Moscow office.
2000 - Participant Independent Producers Program EAVE with Brave New Men (dir: J.Peter, scr.: Y. Winterberg).
Since 2002 - Member of the board of the regional producers organisation MFFV (Mitteldeutscher Film- und Fernsehproduzentenverband).
Since 2004 - Member of the board of AG dok, the national organisation of documentary producers.
Since 2005 - Representative of German films Service und Marketing GmbH for Eastern Europe.
