On September 18 and 19 at the KMW CoProduction Meetings 2019 Ukrainian and foreign film and TV producers will be looking for points of intersection and write a new page in Ukraine's co-production history.
Never before has the traditional co-production event of the largest media forum in Central and Eastern European KYIV MEDIA WEEK been as large and open as this year. With the support of Ukrainian Cultural Foundation under the Strengthening Capacity of Ukrainian Audiovisual Sector, KMW CoProduction Meetings 2019 will last for two days, and participation in the event for Ukrainian producers is absolutely free. All they had to do was applying online. Event registration is currently closed; Ukrainian projects to be presented to potential international partners have been selected and a pool of participants has been formed. All of them have received confirmation of their participation and are preparing to meet with their foreign colleagues.
Let us remind you that famous producers from five countries – Norway, Canada, Israel, Slovakia and Bulgaria wil be the international participants KMW CoProduction Meetings 2019.
Namely, CEO of Norwegian company Viafilm Anders Tangen, Incendo’s Head of sales and co-production Gavin Reardon, Head of Drama at Endemol Shine Israeli Gal Zaid, co-owner and producer of Slovak studio DNA Production Rastislav Šesták, and film and TV producer of the famous Bulgarian production AGITPROP Martichka Bozhilova.
On the first day of the KMW CoProduction Meetings 2019, our guests will participate in a panel discussion on topical issues of co-production in Ukraine and present their projects for which they are now ready to seek Ukrainian partners. After the official part, all the participants of the event will have coffee and networking session to establish professional relationships.
Communication will become a key theme of the second day of KMW CoProduction Meetings 2019. It will be dedicated to individual meetings of foreign producers with their Ukrainian counterparts, during which our producers will be able to present their own projects for which they are looking for foreign partners.
“This year, we have tried to update the KMW CoProduction Meetings 2019 format to meet the needs of participants in the most practical way regarding the specifics of co-production processes as well as in the need of personal contacts with potential foreign partners,” says Alla Prelovska, Project Manager and manager of Media Resources Management company, a KMW organizer. “We hope we did it. And perhaps next year at KMW 2020 we will see the co-production projects launched at KMW CoProduction Meetings 2019, already in the form of successful cases.”
KMW CoProduction Meetings 2019 will be held on September 18 and 19 at Hyatt Regency Kyiv (5, Alla Tarasova St.).
