Call for entries for the fifth international non-scripted entertainment formats competition SMALL WORLD. BIG IDEAS continued for more than a month. Absolutely everyone could try their hand: both beginners and experienced TV business players from around the world. The main goal of SMALL WORLD. BIG IDEAS is scouting out new original ideas of entertainment shows, and thanks to the project’s partners – Small World IFT and MIPCOM – provide the best of them with a chance to become the next big thing.
This year, 29 applications were submitted, among the authors – wide diversity of TV and film business professionals, as well as representatives of other interesting professions (for example, writer, PR manager, video blogger and even a young mother on maternity leave). Geography of the applicants: Ukraine, Moldova, Israel, Finland and Germany.
So, the finalists of SMALL WORLD. BIG IDEAS 2019 are:

Final round of the SMALL WORLD. BIG IDEAS will take place on September 17, 2019, from 16:00 till 18:00 in the course of KMW 2019 (Hyatt Regency, Kyiv, Ukraine).
According to the rules of the competition, each author or representative of the finalist idea should pitch their project to a wide audience, and they will be evaluated by an expert jury, featuring international and Ukrainian entertainment industry representatives with many years of experience in the development, distribution and adaptation of formats. Winner of SMALL WORLD. BIG IDEAS 2019 will be selected on the same day.
The author of the best idea, according to the experts and partners of the competition, will get a great opportunity for professional growth at the international level, while the winning format will be kickstarted globally to win the hearts of audiences on all continents. Namely:
Small World IFT (USA) – Partner of SMALL WORLD. BIG IDEAS contest becomes the exclusive worldwide distributor, adding the winning format to the catalogue and presenting it at all major content markets globally.Also, the company provides international development expertise in adapting the winning format for the global market and funds the production of the sizzle. The winning idea will see the world as a format at MIPTV 2020.
MIPCOM (France) – International Partner of SMALL WORLD. BIG IDEAS and KYIV MEDIA WEEK – awards the winner with participant’s badge of the world's biggest entertainment content market MIPTV (April 2020, Cannes, France).
