CALL FOR ENTRIES FOR SMALL WORLD. BIG IDEAS CONTEST IS OPEN

Call for entries for the non-scripted entertainment formats contest SMALL WORLD. BIG IDEAS 2017 has started today.

The contest will be held for the third time by Media Resources Management (Ukraine) in partnership with the international distributor Small World IFT (USA) and the world’s biggest audiovisual content market MIPCOM (France). SMALL WORLD. BIG IDEAS opens up new opportunities for the authors of innovative TV projects, including independent producers and creators, representatives of large prodcos and TV channels. Whether you are a rookie or a pro in format business – you are absolutely welcome to try your hand in the international contest for the best idea in the genre of non-scripted entertainment show!

What we are looking for? SMALL WORLD. BIG IDEAS contest is in search for new original non-scripted entertainment formats (game, quiz, dating, travel, survival, reality show, etc.) at any development stage: from paper format and to the program that has already been broadcast or commissioned.

Applications are accepted from February 7 to March 15, 2017. All projects will be evaluated by the independent judging panel featuring Ukrainian and international TV industry experts with years of experience in development, distribution and adaptation of TV formats.

Final round of the SMALL WORLD. BIG IDEAS contest will take place on April 21, 2017 at international conference FORMAT SHOW Spring Edition (Kyiv, Ukraine).

SMALL WORLD. BIG IDEAS winner – the author of the best idea according to experts and partners of the competition, will get a great opportunity for professional growth at the international level, while the winning format will be kickstarted globally to win the hearts of audiences on all continents:

• Small World IFT (USA) – Partner of SMALL WORLD. BIG IDEAS contest becomes the exclusive worldwide distributor, adding the winning format to Small World IFT slate and presenting it at all major television markets globally. Also, the company provides international development expertise in adapting the winning format for the global market and funds the production of a sizzle. The winning idea will see the world as a format at MIPCOM 2017.
• MIPCOM (France) – International Partner of FORMAT SHOW Spring Edition – awards the winner with participant badge of the world's entertainment content market MIPCOM 2017 (October 16-19, Cannes, France).

Let’s recall that in previous years the winners of the competition were: Lital Shemesh from Israel, author of the reality show COME TO BED (2016), Nana Sukhanova (with a co-author Paul Peleshko) from Ukraine with the project DRIVE THIS! (2015).
