Сo-producer of a new film by Myroslav Slaboshpytskiy – speaker of Film Business conference

Virginie Devesa, co-producer of a new film Luxembourg by Myroslav Slaboshpytskiy and European distributor of the most well-known Ukrainian movie The Tribe as a speaker of Film Business conference in the course of KYIV MEDIA WEEK 2016: Media business 360°.

Virginie Devesa is a co-founder and CEO of the French independent sales company Alpha Violet. The distribution catalogue of the company includes the movies of high artistic level, mostly auteur films, which are the participants and winners of different film festivals. Such films as The Tribe by Myroslav Slaboshpytskiy, A Yellow Bird by K. Rajagopal, Journey to Portugal by Sergio Trefaut, The Summer of Flying Fish by Marcela Said, Mateo by Maria Gamboa, The Sound of the Trees by Francois Peloquin, Raging Rose by Julia Kowalski, Thirst by Svetla Tsotsorkova, A Double Life by Yoshiyuki Kishi and others. The Tribe was sold to more than 30 countries. 

Currently Virginie serves as a co-producer of the new film Luxembourg by Myroslav Slaboshpytskiy.

Virginie will tell the participants of the conference how pre-sale of the movie works, why producer needs a sales agent and how to find them, about the peculiarities of working with projects from Ukraine, Russia and the CIS from the sales agent’s point of view.
