"We believe that The Servant of Nation will be interesting not only to Ukrainian viewers, because people all over the world want to see honest and decent faces in the government. World history knows such examples. Charles de Gaulle, Mahatma Gandhi have been true leaders for their nations – credible and respected. The Servant of Nation is a kind of faith embodied in TV series, it depicts nation’s hope that it is possible to give power to dignified people and fight off corruption. And it certainly will be defeated. That is why in the promo of the series we mentioned that “this project is based on real events in the future”, – says Vladimir Zelensky, the leading character, one of the authors, producer of the series and creative producer of Studio Kvartal 95.
24-episode political comedy series tells the story about simple, honest and moral history teacher Vasiliy Goloborod’ko, who became the president of Ukraine. Protector of the Constitution who lives in the common Kyiv flat with his parents and elder sister, borrows money and takes public transport.
