KIEV Coproduction Meetings News: State Film Agency Signed an Agreement on the Animated Film Marvolo Monster Production; The Tank Has Received a Prize at Connecting Cottbus Pitching

This September one of the KYIV MEDIA WEEK participants presented the project of animated film Marvolo Monster, which was included in the KIEV CoProduction Meetings catalogue. We continue to follow the news on the co-production platform participants in the course of KMW and are happy to announce that Ukrainian State Film Agency has signed a contract for the production of this cartoon.

The animated fairy-tale tells a story about an ordinary schoolgirl Sonia, who meets Marvellous Monster. Mo has only one relative – bogeyman Pumpkiner. Soon Sonia gets into funny adventures with her new friend.

The Tank, another participant of KIEV CoProduction Meetings, won a prize at the pitching session of feature films – connecting cottbus, which is held annually in Germany in the course of international film festival Cottbus.

The pitching welcomes filmmakers from Eastern and Central Europe, the CIS and Georgia, who are looking for partners in the West, and the Western European producers, whose projects are thematically linked with Eastern Europe. Feature length drama The Tank won the prize in the category of Best Pitch Award – 1500 Euros and free participation in the next forum Cannes Producers Network.
