Star Media acquired three new TV formats. Spanish Boomerang TV licensed to Star Media rights for the local adaptation of police procedural Los Misterios de Laura (Mum Detective), Dutch distributor Eyeworks licensed an option to adapt Belgian Dubbelleven (Double Life) series format, and Australian Renegade Films licensed local adaptation rights for Wilfred.

Los misterios de Laura - Laura Lebrel is a police inspector; brilliant at her work, but short-sighted in her relationships. Capable of unravelling the most complex crime, but incapable of detecting love, even when it is right under her nose. Mother of two boys, two naughty little demons, she recently separated from Jacobo, her superior at the police station. Her partner at work is Martin, the person with whom she spends the most time. They have known each other since they were at police academy and are always bickering … but this apparent hostility covers up deeper feelings. The responsibility of being both mother and policewoman sometimes seems too much for Laura, but in the end she always manages to combine her two roles.

Dubbelleven - Only a while after the death of Mark Nuyens, his doting son adolescent son Maarten, his legally unwed ma, housewife Karen, and others learn that Mark lead a double bigamy-like life. Only Mark's brother Ruben knew he secretly married, in another province, advertising-career-bachelorette Nina. The inheritance is only one of many complications for the bereaved and those in their own lives.

Wilfred - The story of Ryan, a depressed man who believes he is getting nowhere in his life and plans to kill himself. In the middle of his attempted suicide, he is asked to watch his neighbor's dog, Wilfred, but Ryan can only see Wilfred as a real person instead of an animal that everyone else sees. As they begin to bond more and become friends, Wilfred teaches Ryan a life lesson about people, love, and living.

Ukrainian Content Market will be held in Kyiv on 12-14 September, 2012.
