On September 9, at Film Business international conference in the course of KYIV MEDIA WEEK, participants will have a chance to listen to a SPECIAL report and a panel discussion Cooperation with China: a Gold Mine or an Insurmountable Chinese Wall.
Chinese film industry is among the biggest in the world; in this country, tens of movie theaters and hundreds of hours of new content appear daily. In spite of many limits, e.g. quotas for distribution of foreign products, cencorship, etc., the share of films made in co-production with foreign companies in China is rather significant. At the conference, we will find out how film business in China works and which types of cooperation are possible for international producers and film companies. The analysis of China film industry will be presented by Aleksey Aristov (Deloitte & Touche USC). The participants of the panel discussion will include the founders and producers of China International Film & Media, Dmitry Liu and Tony Fang. The company has an exceptional experience in producing and co-producing films (Kill Bill, The Great Emperor of Khan Dynasty, Mongol: The Rise of Ghengis Khan, Windrunner, AmericanTop Model, Confucius, Lee’s Adventure, Wolf Totem, etc.).
