KYIV MEDIA WEEK organizers are pleased to note that, even on the threshold of already familiar and beloved MIPTV and NATPE Budapest, participants of the media market actively register and book exhibition suites also at Ukrainian Content Market (UCM), which will be held on September 12-14, 2012, in Kyiv, Ukraine. For example, for today, stands for seventeen Russian companies are already booked on the Market floor and so far for only one stand was booked by a Ukrainian exhibitor - FILM.UA Distribution, which distributes all kinds of rights.

We bring to your attention the latest news from FILM.UA Distribution, who has sold license on a range of FILM.UA projects for the territory of Kazakhstan.
The buyer is a media holding Alma-Media, which purchased Ukrainian content for its КТК, NТК and First channel Eurasia TV channels. The deal includes the sale of rights to such series as ‘Dr. Baby Dust’ («Женский доктор»), ‘Waiting List’ («Лист ожидания»), ‘Taxi’ («Такси»), ‘Angels Of The War’ («Ангелы войны»), ‘My New Life’ («Моя новая жизнь») and ‘In For A Win’ («Другой мужчина», also known as ‘Another man’).
Most of them are still in production, however, Kazakh buyer could notice the success of their premieres. It’s a question of a sitcom ‘Taxi’ and drama ‘My new life’. ‘Taxi’, an adaptation of a popular American series, was broadcasted on September 25, 2011, on ICTV TV channel, and tells about an extraordinary life of ordinary taxi drivers, who get into amusing situations every day. Mini-series by Oksana Bayrak ‘My New Life’, which debuted on Inter TV channel on January 13, 2011, tells about a 40-year-old woman who starts her life from a scratch and eventually gains respect from her daughter after her husband left her for a young lover.
Dramas ‘Dr. Baby Dust’, ‘Waiting List' – projects, that fully reflect the combination of hard working days of a medical staff and their private life, which sometimes cracks, collapses, but in any case has to stay beyond the hospital. Series ‘In For A Win’ will tell a story about three inseparable friends who are in love with one girl Elena. Initially, the action takes place in the late 80s and each of main characters tries to win her heart. And 20 years later we’ll find out what each of them has achieved and if Elena has made the right choice.
Meanwhile, the deal between Ukraine and Kazakhstan was not limited by the series – ‘Mystical Tales’, rights to which were also sold to Kazakhstan, will be broadcasted on one of the channels mentioned above.
