WeiT Media Adapts Italian Police Series

WeiT Media is currently filming the local version of Italian series Police District (Italian Distretto di Polizia) commissioned by Rossiya 1. The original format comes from Taodue prodco and is distributed by Mediaset. 

The show has seen a total of 11 seasons on Canale 5 in Italy. The new episodes of the police series are aired on Class TV (Canale 27). 

The plot follows the story of police major Polina Levashova after the murder of her husband. She is forced to move to a provincial town under a different last name because the criminals think that she has dangerous information. There she heads the local police station, having to earn respect and trust of her colleagues and protect herself and children from the mafia. Each episode revolves around the investigation of a crime that happened in town. 

The shooting of Police District takes place in Saint Petersburg.
