Format Show is a one-day conference and screening of TV formats that will be held on September 15th in the course of KYIV MEDIA WEEK 2014. Program of the event will traditionally include screenings of ‘hot from the oven’ and the most popular TV formats from all around the world as well as speeches of international and Ukrainian format industry experts.
Format Show 2014 is honored to have Michel Rodrigue as a keynote speaker. Being the founder of The Format People Inc. and also cofounder of FRAPA as well as the EMC Michel has over 35 years of experience, knowledge and connections in international TV business. The expert will share some key tips with the conference audience in order to facilitate local market development and build successful TV formats industry.
Michel offers comprehensive consultancy on all aspects of the television business. He consults a number of Asian clients on the sale and protection of their formats on the international market. Michel carefully helps them to select the right distributor for their product and creates an international marketing plan which includes introducing them to the many international television markets such as MIPCOM, MIPTV, NATPE, BCWW, ATF and DISCOP.
It stands to mention that Michel Rodrigue is the instigator of the first ever TV Format Market at the Monte Carlo Television Festival in 1999. He was dubbed by the press ‘The Father of Formats’ for his in-depth knowledge of the format business.
