Russian broadcaster CTC will adapt Spanish drama series LUNA, The Calenda Mystery (Eng. Moon). The format rights were sold to CTC by Madrid-based Imagina International Sales (IIS). Russian version of the mysterious story will be produced by Moscow-based prodco Amedia.
LUNA was originally developed by Madrid-based Globomedia for Spain’s Antenna 3, launching in 2012.
The storyline is about a judge who arrives in a remote town with her rebellious teenage daughter. Soon after, horrifying events lead the judge and the police to start an investigation into the existence of werewolves.
It’s worth mentioning that, CTC has previously made a local version of El Barco (Eng.The Boat), originally produced by Globomedia for Spain’s Antenna 3 (the second season of Russian adaptation will be premiered in 2015), and El Internado (Eng. The Boarding School), another Spanish series that aired for seven seasons on Antenna 3.
