CAN’T STOP Media announced that its original format Mum of the Week is now in production in five countries and also in development in a further 12 territories, following its successful international launch at MIPTV 2014.
The show is getting a local 16-part run in Poland which will be produced by Golden Media Polska. Polish adaptation of the project will be premiered in September on TVN. In Finland, Nelonen Media has commissioned 10 weekly episodes from Banijay, while in Turkey, Kanal Kurk has ordered a daily adaptation with an initial commission of 45 episodes from HMO. In Russia, STS will produce a pilot this summer.
CAN’T STOP Media has also sealed options with Sony Pictures’ Victory Television in the UK and Ireland, Endemol Italy, Zodiak Spain, Banijay in Denmark, Norway and Sweden, SeaPoint Productions in Germany, North Sea Camel in the Netherlands, FremantleMedia in Belgium and SEO in Austria and Switzerland.
The format shows four mothers from different social backgrounds. It showcases their life and parenting style to the others, as a result participants get rated on their performance. The winner is crowned “Mum of the Week”.
