Eccho Rights announced that following the NATPE market in Prague, epic Turkish drama Kurt Seyit & Sura will be aired in Hungary, Romania and Ukraine.

The Stockholm based distributor has secured three new licences with broadcasters in Eastern Europe including Kanal D Romania, Inter and RTL Klub.

Fredirick af Malmborg, managing director at Eccho Rights, said “Kurt Seyit is a stunning piece of TV and is proving a ratings hit across the Middle East. We expect to see this success replicated across Eastern Europe and beyond.

Kurt Seyit & Sura is a true love story based on a bestselling novel. Starring Kivanc Tatlitug and Farah Zeynep Abdullah, the series tells the story of the dashing, womanizing Lieutenant Kurt Seyit - the first son of a rich Crimean landowner of Turkish origin - who falls in love with Sura - the beautiful daughter of a noble Russian family. But Seyit's father has always insisted that his heir should marry a Turkish woman so their love faces many obstacles.

Kurt Seyit & Sura is produced by Ay Yapim for Star TV in Turkey. The drama will be back for a second season in September.
