Zodiak Rights, distribution arm of the international media group Zodiak Media, agreed with Russian Channel One and Sky Italia on licensing them both the first season and format of the thrilling drama series The Returned (original title: Les Revenants). Ready-made series has been already licensed in 74 territories.
The Returned tells the story of an idyllic French mountain town where people who have been dead for years return to their homes one day. They are representatives of different social classes of different age. All of them look like they were before death and believe they are alive.
Russian broadcaster plans to launch the series in the end of 2014. Italian adaptation will air on paid channel Sky Atlantic in 2016. Zodiak Rights will hold the worldwide distribution rights of the remake, excluding Italy.
Israeli format developer and distributor Armoza Formats, affiliate of Tel Aviv-based distribution and production group Armoza International Media, closed deals on licensing adaptation rights of entertainment show That's My House! to Russia - REN TV, and France - Réservoir Prod Groupe.
Each 30 min episode of That's My House! features a contestant exploring the house and trying to discover the owner. The format was developed by Artza Productions in association with Armoza Formats. Last year the project became the winner at the annual ideas pitching Formagination in Israel. Worth mentioning that Artza and Armoza Formats also developed another show – The Gran Plan licensed to 1+1 in Ukraine last year.
The next edition of Ukrainian Content Market, the networking platform for buyers and sellers of audiovisual content from the CIS countries, Baltic States, Georgia, Eastern and Western Europe as well as other world territories, will take place on September 16-18, 2014 in Radisson Blu Hotel (Kyiv, Ukraine).
