Inter TV channel acquired Format Show 2013 premier

London based distributor Banijay International licensed talent format Mentor adaptation rights to Ukrainian Inter TV channel. The format premiered internationally at Format Show held in the course of KYIV MEDIA WEEK in September 2013.

Inter announced casting for participants for the new vocal talent show featuring local showbiz stars putting their reputations on the line and taking responsibility for bringing up professional vocalists of the talented amateurs. Each coach (there were six of them in the original show) deals with only one contestant chosen by the audience. Pairs of coaches and their protégés taking part in the contest are formed by the results of viewers’ voting following the first live episode introducing amateurs who perform before top industry personalities. The audience remains in control of coaches’ work. The Mentor has not realized their protégé’s potential to be sent home, leaving their protégé to work with one of the remaining Mentors. The final sees only two Mentors choosing one amateur each to perform in the live show. The winning Mentor may sign a deal with the contestant bringing him the title Mentor of the Year.
