UCM participant news: Hanzhonkovfilm studio has presented animated series Eskimo Girl; STB has acquired TV movie Chimney Guest by FILM.UA; CTC Media has signed an agreement with The Walt Disney Company CIS

The premier screening of the first Ukrainian animated series Eskimo Girl by Hanzhonkovfilm studio was presented at 1+1 TV channel on November 12. Eskimo Girl series directed by Alex Shaparev was created with the state support of Ukrainian state film agency.

Eskimo Girl: the story follows an adorable Eskimo Girl in her fun adventures set in the beautiful Arctic. Every day Eskimo Girl goes fishing to the Little Bay with her friends Egghead, Loogan and pet Deer. They find a mysterious floating object in the water and look for new ways to use it. They try to figure out how it’s really using for. As they explore experiment and use their creativity and imagination, they often get into funny misadventures!

STB TV channel has acquired TV movie Chimney Guest by FILM.UA.

SHE is an attorney, strict at work, sullen and unsmiling at home. Five years has passed as SHE lost her beloved husband. Once, returning from work, SHE becomes puzzled: in a vase with flowers, which SHE has filled to the brim this morning, was no water left. SHE waters flowers again, and in the morning finds the vase half empty. It starts to get more interesting… Traces of alien presence in the flat bring HER to despair: maybe SHE is going crazy, or maybe the spirit of her husband wants to come in contact with her and her friend, obsessed with extrasensorics, convinces her of that.

CTC Media and The Walt Disney Company CIS have announced the signing of a new two-year agreement to broadcast the films and animated content of The Walt Disney Company CIS (Disney) via Channel 31, one of the largest players on the television market in Kazakhstan.

The agreement marks yet another step in the continuation of the successful cooperation between the two companies, which began in 2008. Under the terms of the agreement, Channel 31 receives the rights to broadcast 140 Disney movies and full-length animation titles, around 20 animated series and children’s video game TV shows, as well as the latest Funniest Home Videos episodes. The deal also includes the following ABC television series: Revenge, Once Upon A Time, The River and Missing.
