Russian First Channel acquired from the Ekaterinburg based distribution group Strana TV rights to the historical drama Gold, directed by Andrey Marmontov. Film production was completed at the Sverdlovsk Film Studio in March of this year.
The shooting took place in 2008 in the natural park of the river Chusovaya and in Kungur city in Sverdlovsk region. A set of an almost real gold mine was constructed on one of the steep banks of the river for this film shooting. The film’s cast includes famous Russian actors: Sergei Bezrukov, Andrey Merzlikin, Anna German, Irina Skobtseva, Mikhail Porechenkov, Evgeniy Ganelin and others. Gold was included in the list of "the most expected Russian film projects 2011-2012" at the business forum of Moscow International Film Festival - Moscow Business Square. This year Roskino presented this film at the film market in Venice, along with 13 other Russian pictures. At the recently-held Ukrainian Content Market distribution group Strana had its own stand #334.
On September 12 at the Ukrainian Content Market two market participants concluded an agreement. Ukraine's first OTT provider DIVAN.TV and Aurora Distribution have signed a partnership agreement under which the company DIVAN.TV acquired 100 hours of content from the Ukrainian film distributor Aurora Distribution.
A Buyer at UCM, Russian regional television broadcaster Guberniya held around 30 meetings during the market work.
