21 August 2012, 15:44

DT Production was founded in 2009. The chief aim of the company is the creation of high-quality TV products and distribution of foreign and Russian content to international markets. The company aims for producing high-budget projects starring Russian celebrities.

Since May 2011 DT production cooperates with one of the best companies at the film distribution market – the Universal Pictures Russia.

DT Production acquires distribution rights from such majors as Lakeshore Entertainment, Lionsgate, Focus Features, Red Granite Pictures, Protagonist Pictures. DT Production together with Universal Pictures Russia has already released Drive (Best Director Award of Cannes Film Festival), Bel Ami, Beastly in Russia and CIS.

The company also owns rights for Transporter TV series based on the popular franchise of the same name. The high-budget project which is now being filmed in Europe is produced by Luke Besson’s Europa Corp.

DT Production also was the producer of such TV series as Doctor Tyrsa, Nebesny sud, Chernie volki, Kremen and Pod prikrytiem that were successfully broadcasted on chief Ukrainian channels.

In 2012 the company began the production of a number of TV-projects: military action Razvedchici, police action Department, detectives Skhvatka, Ljuty, Caesar and Serdce angela, action Kremen-2 and comedy Novogodny perepolokh. Almost 20 projects are being worked on at the moment.

All the above-mentioned projects will be presented at the Ukrainian Content Market in Kyiv.

Already last year it was clear for all of us that the number of participants from different countries would soon begin to grow. It will be a great pleasure for our company to take part too. We definitely have something to be presented to our partners and to be then discussed with.

We cooperate with the Ukrainian channels effectively and a lot of our TV-series have been shown there successfully. We are interested in the future cooperation with the channels and consider the opportunities for co-production. We are in search of new ideas and hope that our cooperation will not only be mutually beneficial but also interesting.

KYIV MEDIA WEEK is a new platform which is able to unite not only representatives from CIS, but the foreign companies also. This market has a good chance to become the main TV market for CIS, being of the same importance both for the prodcos, distributors and broadcasters.

It’s a pleasure for us to attend the Market, as we not only take part in conferences and make deals but also meet those who have become our good friends during the years of cooperation ”, - says Anna Gabrielyan, Head of Sales, DT Production, Russia.
